When Sharron Jones calls your band ‘blessed’ and Blues and Soul Magazine say you’re “a funkbomb waiting to go off!” you have a lot to measure up to. Well after a listen to Hannah Williams and The Tastemaker’s new album ‘A hill of Feathers’ I can honestly say that they measure up.
I was expecting this new Records Kicks release to blow be away and thats exactly what it did. ‘A Hill of Feathers’ is not good, its super good. Its described as ‘deep soul and raw funk’ and thats exactly what it is and more. Its a confunktion of young emotion, sensual vibe, and groovy beats that are sure to make you wanna move more than just your feet!
